How to join the junior section
After a very successful Kendo year in Dublin, we are now pleased to announce new beginners classes for young people aged between 8 and 16 years. In Japan, Kendo is considered as the most popular martial art for kids to practice. There are more than 500.000 children who regularly practice Kendo. It is a great cardiovascular exercise, it develops the concentration, gives mental calmness in stressful situations and most of all Kendo teaches a high discipline and respect in everyday life. As a member of the Irish Kendo Federation we also follow the Code of Ethics for Children's Sports (according the Irish Sports Council).

Special beginner classes for kids will be organised every eight weeks. The courses are held on Sundays starting from February 2007 from 11:30-12:30 at Marino Institute of Education at Griffin Avenue.
You will find next starting time on our calendar for next starting time.

Sign up for the next beginner class!
We encourage all parents and their children who are genuinely interested in practicing Kendo to contact us at dublinkendo@gmail.com or visit our web page http://www.dublinkobukai.com. The fee for the whole course is 60 Euro and this will cover the insurance for one year and all your training fees for the first eight week course. After that there is a monthly fee of 20 Euro.
