| Beginners are encouraged to attend all club activities so that they get to meet other
members and see more kendo. But the focus will be each Sunday for beginners. Some of the
things that the eight weeks course will cover are shown below for reference.
* Introduction, orientation, and etiquette.
* Basic footwork, Kata (basic forms of kendo).
* Basic cutting, footwork and correct distance.
* Basic understanding of "ki ken tai ichi" with okuri ashi (sliding footwork).
* Grading and graduation to more advanced class.
The fee for the whole course is 60 Euro and this will cover your insurance for one year and
training fees. The reason for this policy is that we have to ensure that all who practice
are covered by our insurance and that the club can cover the cost of hall rental and materials
for practice. As there is a limited space on each course to guarantee please pay you fee to our bank account.
